Welcome to the latest edition of Picture News - adopting the current house style.

This edition features some more pictures from the Chelmsford Championships held over the weekend 26 - 28 January 2001. Please let us know if we haven't yet published your shot of the tournament.

Is this the face of the Tournament? Adrian Pitt - Baddow Village. RU in the 2 Down. And who caused a few surprises in the Men's Singles
Was this a classic shot straight from the text book? Ian Brown - ECC - battled hard in the Vets & O50's events but in the end had little to show for the effort.

Jon Hill - Baddow Village - showed just how much he has improved by fighting his way through to the final of the Vets
Jean Chasmer & Julie Vansertima en-route to victory in the Ladies Doubles. Jean also caused a few upsets in the Womens Singles unexpectedly defeating the No.2 seed to book a place in the Final where she had to face her doubles partner.
And no prizes for recognizing Malcolm Jacobs - Hatfield Peverel. Malcolm was made to fight all the way to capture the 4 Down crown - none more so than in the Final where outsider Neil Weir - ECC - came through the pack and very nearly lifted the title.
